Here is our simplified To-Do List. I’ll cross these out as I do them and add more detail (and I’m sure more things to do) as time goes on.

1. Sell just about everything we own
2. Sell my maxed-out Mac Pro and buy MacBook Pro while hoping the day after I buy it Apple doesn’t update the line and instantly make the new MacBook Pro completely obsolete.
3. Sell our current vehicle (2005 Pontiac Aztek) in order to pay it off
4. Get a good deal on a truck to pull whatever we buy in #5
5. Buy a travel trailer or 5th wheel
6. Sell some more stuff
7. Buy a new laptop for GPS… we’ve decided to use a Windows (shudder) laptop with a GPS receiver and Microsoft’s Streets & Trips 2008 to plan and tack our trips. In all true honesty, Streets & Trips is my favorite Windows application of all time and the only one I miss since switching to Mac last year. The new version has great turn-by-turn voice diections and trip planning features. I will probably use an Eee PC for this, or some other low-cost smaller-sized laptop.
