I’m posting this to ask people to join me and my family in prayer for my niece, Miahna Rayne Hershberger. She was born on Monday, November 24.

Yesterday she was very cold and was having trouble breathing and her Dr. had Miahna taken to the E.R. While there her condition deteriorated and she was lifeflighted to Akron Children’s Hospital, where she was placed in a coma and was in shock. Doctors at this point do not know what it is but believe it might be a heart issue, and a cardiologist is going to see her today. On top of all this, the doctors are now concerned that Miahna may have been without oxygen for a period of time sufficient to cause brain damage. She’s hemorrhaging and continues to do so, making the doctors concerned for her liver and brain.

Today was to be our big Thanksgiving dinner. Instead its turned into a prayer vigil.

My wife and I were not planning on coming home for Thanksgiving this year, but two nights ago we felt the urge to make the seven-hour drive to be with family. This was BEFORE Miahna started to get sick. God KNEW, as He always does, where we needed to be.

I have set up a blog that I would LOVE to be filled with prayers and well-wishes for the mom and dad, Joe & Bethany Hershberger. The address is http://prayersformiahna.blogspot.com

We are in the process of unpacking here in Virginia right now. I haven’t updated lately because of the move, but we’re here now and our internet is hooked up, so updates will be forthcoming.

I wanted to post my Electoral Vote prediction before the polls started to close, so here it is:

This is just how I think today’s voting is going to turn out. I made this on October 7, 2008, but am only now getting around to posting it.
